ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS

Flexible metal braided connector assemblies can be used on pumps, equipment and coil connections as indicated in the specifications, drawings and equipment schedules.Flexible metal braided connectors can also be used where flexible connectors are specified on equipment that will operate at temperatures above 210°F.Flexible metal braided connectors must be installed in a straight line without offsets or twists. Support pipe without any load on flexible connectors.Connectors for pipe sizes up to 2″ I.D. will have threaded ends, and connectors for pipe sizes 2-1/2″ I.D. or larger will be flanged. Connectors for copper piping will have female copper lube ends.Utilize connectors of 300 Series stainless steel corrugated hose and braid and carbon steel Male NPT or 150# flange end fittings for connection to steel piping. Female connectors to be installed on copper piping should be constructed of bronze hose and braid with copper end connections. Stainless steel and bronze flexible connectors shall meet the Buy American Act.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

MINIMUM INVOICE CHARGES: $100 net for any single order.

SHIPPING TERMS: F.O.B. shipping point (our option) freight prepaid and allowed on single orders having a net price value of $7,500 and over, for shipment at one time to one destination into distributor stock, as determined by GroovJoint within the continental United States, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions.Shipping and handling charges on orders less than net price value of $7,500, F.O.B. shipping point (our option) will be paid by the customer. The most economical routing to recognized delivery points will be used, at our discretion. The cost of any special routing, packaging or handling that has been requested by the customer, and is a deviation to our normal handling methods, will be added to the order and paid by the customer.Shipments beyond the borders of the United States are prepaid and chargeable or collectable to final destination

WARRANTY

This warranty applies only to parts which are manufactured and delivered by GroovJoint. We warrant all products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal conditions of use and Flanged End, Grooved End & Threaded End Metal Braided Flexible Connectors service. Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing at our option at our factory any product which shall within one (1) year after delivery to original buyer be returned with transportation charges prepaid, and which our examination shall show to our satisfaction to have been defective.

The conditions of the warranty are as follows:

All parts manufactured and delivered by GroovJoint will be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year. In the event of failure of a part due to such a covered defect, GroovJoint will repair or replace the defective part in its facilities. The part must be returned to the factory by and at the expense of the person claiming the benefit of the warranty. GroovJoint is the only entity authorized to do any warranty repairs. This warranty is expressed in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. This includes the implied warranty of suitability for a particular purpose, and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of GroovJoint. Furthermore, it neither assumes nor authorizes any other persons to assume for GroovJoint any other liabilities in connection with the sale of products. This warranty does not cover components of products made by others or any part thereof, which have been repaired or altered, except by GroovJoint. This includes, but is not limited to, those parts that have been subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident. GroovJoint will not be held liable for damages or delay suffered by the purchaser regardless of whether such damages are general, special, or consequential in nature, or whether caused by defective material, workmanship or otherwise whether caused by GroovJoint negligence regardless of degree. Because we do not supervise or control the installation and use of our products, GroovJoint cannot be responsible for their performance or for the improper application and/or usage. GroovJoint neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any other liability in connection with the sale of such products.

This warranty shall not apply to any product which has been subject to misuse, negligence or accident, which has been repaired or altered in any manner outside of GroovJoint’s factory or which has been used in a manner contrary to GroovJoint’s instructions or recommendations. GroovJoint shall not be responsible for design errors due to inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by Buyer or its representatives.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

    General

  • Provide flexible hose connector(s) as indicated on the contract drawings or as required to accommodate any thermal expansion, contraction or seismic movement of the piping system
  • Flexible hose connectors shall be capable of compensating for lateral movement and vibration
  • Flexible hose connectors shall be manufactured complete with section of corrugated metal house, compatible braid, with inlet and outlet connections as required
  • For flammable liquid or gas service up to 4″, flexible hose connector shall be CSA / AGA certified

Flanged End, Grooved End & Threaded End Metal Braided Flexible Connectors Product Line

Flexible Connectors are manufactured in both 304L and 316L grades. Ends can be flanged, grooved, or threaded to meet the customer’s needs. Size ranges include 1″ – 10″ in diameter for flanged and grooved. Size ranges for threaded ends range from 1/2″ – 2″.
